Dr. John Sentamu said: "The Lost Trawlerman's Memorial Day Service is an opportunity for the families and friends left to grieve to honour the commitment of those who lost their lives at sea. Their stories continue to inspire us and we remember them today"

Held annually since 1990, the service commemorates the lives of Hull's estimated 8000 trawlermen who have perished at sea over the last 100 years.
